The focus of our coaching training and leadership skills solutions is to help leaders at all levels maximize their overall impact and effectiveness in the workplace.

Objectives

The overall objective in all of our coaching and leadership solutions is to provide leaders with a curriculum and experiential learning approach that will result in an ability to integrate essential new skills into their role as manager, consultant or leader.

Choosing Solutions that Fit Your Needs

We want to understand the current needs and challenges you are faced with in order to partner with you in creating the approach that will address your needs and meet your targeted outcomes. We accomplish this by engaging in early discovery discussions that provide clarity around overall goals and help in choosing the right solutions in partnership with you.

Outcomes

Whether your organization seeks to invest in a customized coaching skills program, a focused Leader as Coach program, or a longer-term internal coach training program, we are committed to working with you to ensure that your goals for this work are met. It might be stronger engagement, better retention numbers, increased leadership skills in key areas, or higher performance levels. We work with you to set these targets and follow up to measure outcomes that address these goals.

Philosophy and Approach

Developmental Approach

Change creates the crucible for much of our development and coaching provides a powerful approach for leveraging development at any critical change point in our lives as leaders. It may be a promotion, a firing, a major shift in roles with new demands. It may be a performance review that requires some adjustments, a promotion that requires a move to another continent, a first career position or the final capstone, a death or a challenging illness at home. All of these changes catch us off guard and the bigger the surprise, the bigger the opportunity for our own development. We've built a model we term "The Cycle of Renewal" to provide a framework for viewing a cyclical and normative cycle of ongoing change that intersects with the human systems at play at any point in the adult journey. Unlike the older linear models tied to specific ages and stages, we view development throughout the adult years as continuous and growthful.

Adult Learning Philosophy

At Hudson we champion self-directed adult learning principles that provide the ownership, passion and enthusiasm necessary in order to sustain our learning inside the many roles adults assume: at work, in family relationships, and in leadership and service roles. We view experiential learning as fundamental to our development throughout the life cycle, based not on an expert model, but rather on self-directed learning that is contractual, dialogical and collaborative. Each adult is in the best position to identify what he or she needs to learn and then use the resources available to accomplish that through a coaching engagement or a coaching curriculum. Each learner, in collaboration with other learners or a coach, constructs and executes an individualized learning plan that addresses these goals.
